Your invitation to support NCC!
As the Northeast Cultural Coop (NCC) enters its fifth year of providing programs to the public, teachers and students, we want to ask for your support. Why contribute to NCC? Our mission is to celebrate cultures near and far through a variety of programming formats and we strongly believe that in this changing world, true cultural awareness is more important than ever.

As a private non-profit organization, NCC relies on donors like you to make our mission possible. We have applied for and received sizeable grants from a variety of foundations for specific programs but donations like yours help us broaden our scope and reach new audiences. We pride ourselves in doing the highest quality programs with the funds available to us without waste or excessive overhead. Most of our programs are free and open to everyone so that citizens know they are welcome to hear the best speakers, meet with interesting writers and thinkers, and to learn from discussions with their fellow audience members.
Over our four year history, we have joined with other organizations so we can collaborate rather than compete. Our recent successes include a summer institute on Vietnam where a group of teachers from all over New England met with scholars, authors, and performers to learn about the culture of a country that shares a piece of our history, with an eye to look beyond just the war, but to the future our two nations share in this global economy. As a participant reported after the institute:
"Your seminar was one of the most useable and informative I have attended. From the readings, to the speakers, each with their own piece of the Vietnam puzzle, to the movies and music it was as close to an immersion experience as one can get without going there. I look forward to incorporating my new found knowledge into class this fall."
We hope you will join us in building a strong future for NCC by making a contribution of any size to continue our work. In a time when ignorance and fear sometimes dictate behavior, our goal continues to be one that encourages all of us to understand and celebrate our own culture and the cultures of all world nations. Our work with teachers aims to help the next generation be more culturally aware than the last. With your help we can reach this goal.
Best wishes,
Blanche Milligan
